This included Hunter's exchanges with family, friends, and business associates. The correspondence included emails, text messages, photos, and documents.
The repair shop owner reported the Hunter Biden laptop’s whereabouts to the FBI. The agency immediately seized the device and confiscated the hard drive.
The Times reported that investigators referred to information found in the laptop. It said that information “appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop”.
Among the correspondence was a conversation between Hunter and Devon Archer. Both were board members of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Archer is now cooperating with authorities on the Hunter probe.
NYT Report Also Confirmed Hunter Biden Paid Off Earlier Tax Liability
The confirmation of the Hunter Biden laptop came along with a report that the First Son settled his tax case with the IRS. Hunter paid off a tax liability worth over $1 million.
This happened a year after the younger Biden announced he is cooperating with authorities investigating an alleged attempt to defraud the Internal Revenue Service.
Ever since President Joe Biden became vice president, authorities have been investigating Hunter for failing to pay his taxes. However, the inquiry broadened in 2018 to see if his overseas dealings overlapped with the President’s political stops.
Daily Mail Says NYT Admission Vindicated Its Expose A Year Ago
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail celebrated the belated admission of the NY Times on the existence of the Hunter Biden laptop.
In 2021, the British media outfit hired top cyber forensics experts to examine the hard drive to determine its authenticity. The experts at Maryman & Associates confirmed the authenticity of the hard drive and of its contents.
The agency found a total of 103,000 text messages and 154,000 emails. It also retrieved more than 2,000 photos on the hard drive.
Some of these photos showed the younger Biden consorting with prostitutes and sleeping with a crack pipe in his mouth.
Other news media still refused to run the story, as they doubted the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop.
Previously, the New York Times previously dismissed the information from the laptop as ‘purported', ‘in question', and even called it ‘unsubstantiated'. That is, until this week when the New York Times included it in their update on Hunter’s tax case.
